Make More Money as a Freelance Writer from Your Old Articles

Writers become better with time and experience at what they do.  Looking back at older examples of your work many times can make you wince at how far you have come as a writer and how much your writing has improved over time. Don’t despair. You can make changes to older articles to bring them up to your current standards. Making your older articles better is a wonderful investment in your own work.

Freelance writing is a job just like any other where the more you do it the better you become at it. Experience and knowledge makes for superior work. You can take material that you may have written months or even a year ago and restore or enhance it with a little tweaking.

Tons of freelance writers believe that no one is looking or viewing those older articles. However, you couldn’t be more wrong. Your work is still being reviewed and one of the wonderful things about the internet is because the work is still out there, you can make improvements to it.

Not all work needs to be changed or completely revised. However, subtle changes to some material can make a huge difference. Imagine adding a different image or video to a piece. A wonderful way to get more page views and enhance your search engine rankings is adding links where there were none. Linking to related new content or linking from new content to older articles can really benefit a lot of articles.

You may have more knowledge about search engine optimization or keyword structuring today than you did several months ago and want to create better structure or titles. These are simple changes that can make an okay article great.

The investment is worth it in the end for making the work that has your byline meet your standards. Spruce up those older articles and make them work for you over and over again.
